Where this all began – Ibu Wayan’s Café started as a small Warung – a little bamboo hut of a food stall where Ibu Wayan sold coffee to the rice farmers on what is now Monkey Forest Road.
Ibu also means “mother” and since 1986 many visitors have come to enjoy her food and the atmosphere of Cafe Wayan. Ibu’s husband Ketut, a traditional artist, has designed the accomodations and gardens.
Ibu Wayan and Pak Ketut now employ over 150 staff.
